- 6th Annual Pirastro Strings Elite Soloists Program

The Elite Soloists Program will accept only 5 students by audition to study with Jeff Bradetich. Daily lessons and solo classes will be held in a highly individualized program. To qualify, students must have a number of solo works ready for study and performance. Last year’s class included participants from major orchestras and young professionals. Marching Band

Nicholas Williams, Director of the UNT Green Brigade, in conjunction with leadership consulting firm SASI, will host the annual Drum Major and Leadership camp at UNT. Current and future drum majors and student leaders will receive instruction from Nicholas Williams and the SASI staff.
The camp includes: Contemporary Conducting Preparation - curriculum created by Nicholas Williams and presented in small and large group settings - Modern Marching Instruction - as taught by the country's best high school and college marching bands and top ten DCI Drum and Bugle Corps - Effective Leadership Training - as presented to many outstanding performing groups and Fortune 500 companies
Who may attend: Current drum majors, future drum majors, student leaders, and potential student leaders are invited to attend!
2009 fees: Resident Tuition is $425.00 per participant and includes tuition and all room and board expenses. Commuter Tuition is $275.00 per participant and includes tuition and meal service.

Conducting Instruction
Participants will receive conducting training from Nicholas Williams (Assistant Director of Wind Studies at the University of North Texas) and Amanda Drinkwater (Director of Bands at Marcus High School). The SASI conducting curriculum is a fresh, modern approach to marching band.
Marching Instruction
Participants will receive innovative, corps style marching training from Jeremy Spicer , Associate Director of Bands and Director of the Marching Band at Cedar Park High School.
Leadership Development
Participants will receive leadership training from Ron Morrison, SASI, CEO and Director of Fine Arts for Pearland ISD. The SASI leadership & empowerment curriculum is a fresh, modern approach to leadership.

Thank you for your interest in our 2010 UNT Violin and Piano Summer Workshop! This workshop is a great opportunity for talented, young musicians (beginner to advanced) to come and work with the best piano and violin faculty and enjoy using the facilities that the UNT College of Music has to offer. The UNT College of Music piano and violin faculty will be offering everyday lessons, two piano masterclasses, two violin masterclasses, and a UNT student/ alumni concert. This workshop is for every age group and every level! For the intermediate/ advanced students we offer the great all-inclusive $350 package of 4 lessons with faculty, two masterclasses, and a concert. For our younger and beginner students we offer the much smaller package of $55 and that will include everything except the lessons. This is a great motivational and inspirational workshop for every level! Included in this email is our flyer and the two registration forms to the workshop. Once the student sends their application, their workshop schedule and map will be sent to them. The registration deadline is May 22, 2010 however, it is better to register early to reserve a spot. Please read the registration form carefully and send the checks payable to "Seung Eun Chung" to the address below.
(For advanced students: There are still spots open for the piano and violin masterclasses but if you want your student to perform in the masterclass, you will need to send a tape of them playing. Please send your tape WITH the student's registration form included, to the address below):
