Will I get a good job? A student working on a computer

Students want to know that a UNT degree will help them succeed. Ninety-seven percent of UNT's recent graduates are employed or attending a professional or graduate school. While our cost is lower than some other state universities, UNT graduates' average pay is similar to that of graduates from more expensive colleges.

Most programs offer hands-on experience in your field before graduation. Internships provide invaluable training and a head start on your career. UNT's nationally accredited Cooperative Education program provides students with paid, supervised positions related to their field of study, often for several semesters. Some students even receive academic credit for their work and permanent job offers after graduation.

When you're nearing completion of your bachelor's degree, job placement services are available to help you find a full-time job. The Career Center offers one-on-one advising, web-based job listings and on-campus interviews with employers. Also, Dallas is one of the 10 best cities in the country for college graduates seeking entry-level jobs.

Green light your degree student

Did you know that most college graduates earn about $1 million more in their lifetime - about $23,000 more per year - than people without a bachelor's degree?

If you want to graduate faster and start earning sooner, take advantage of UNT's Timely Graduation Tuition Program. As a full-time* undergraduate student you will pay about the same tuition/fee rate regardless of how many hours you take. You can graduate earlier without paying much more.

Scholarships, grants and other financial aid programs are available to students who need financial help to pursue their education. Scholarships are funds from various sources that do not have to be repaid. Grants are federal, state and institutional funds typically awarded based on financial need, with no repayment required. Loans are also available to help you pay for college.

About 65 percent of UNT students receive financial aid totaling $211.4 million annually. More than $19 million in scholarships is awarded each year at UNT. The Emerald Eagle Scholars Program also is available to students whose family's adjusted gross income does not exceed $40,000.
