Provides information about the state retirement (ORP/TRS) and Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) Plans and prepares Maximum Contribution Calculations for TSA participants. Serves as Workers’ Compensation Claims Coordinator for the HSC. Administers Family Medical Leave and Sick Leave Pool.

Responsible for overseeing the health science center compensation program. Major responsibilities consist of assisting staff with creating and reclassifying positions, maintaining of job descriptions, and providing assistance/guidance to faculty, staff, and administration regarding compensation policies. Additional duties include conducting salary analysis and facilitating annual Classification Committee.

This position is responsible for directing the mandatory EEO training for UNT Health Science Center staff and faculty, oversight of the annual Affirmative Action Plan, and is the ADA Coordinator for employees and students requesting an accommodation under the Americans with Disability Act. This position investigates reports of violations of discrimination, sexual harassment and disability statutes.

This position assists administrators with discipline and discharge procedures to ensure institutional policies are followed. This position facilitates the Complaint and Grievance process, and administers the Alternate Dispute Resolution process. Duties also include counseling with both supervisors and employees regarding policy and procedure issues.

Training

Cassandra Molavrh

Evaluates, develops, and presents training and development opportunities for the Health Science Center. Major responsibilities consist of developing and implementing goals for staff development and training programs, conducting institutional training needs analysis, facilitating various training classes, recruiting and supporting instructors on a wide range of training programs, scheduling training and maintaining records of participation and completion, and evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of training programs.

Helen Espinoza

Plans, organizes, and directs a wide range of training activities. Consults with onsite managers and supervisors and conducts surveys regarding available performance improvement services and needs. Designs and conducts training for new and existing employees based on the needs of the department or functional area. Sets up training plans to strengthen various departments' existing skills. Evaluates training effectiveness to ensure that the training employees receive helps the organization meet its strategic business goals and achieve results.

Collaborates with managers and employees to assess training requirements and best practices. Designs and conducts training for new and existing employees based on the needs of the department or functional area. Conducts training sessions throughout the institution. Records and HR Information Systems

Responsible for overseeing the records area which includes personnel files, on-line tracking application system, HRM-6's, state service verification, monitoring of license/certification and visa status compliance, employee transaction log, orientation log, reappointment process, address, status changes, etc. Serves as records liaison between departments ensuring payroll deadlines are met. Records contact for specified departments concerning new hires, promotions, transfers, salary increases, terminations and other employee records issues. Assists foreign nationals with immigration, tax issues, obtaining visas and work permits.

Coordinates all and performs most of the Human Resource document scanning activities. Ensures paper and electronic personnel files are maintained according to records retention standards. Serves as a HRM-6 processor backup for other HR Records area Representatives in peak load times.

Pamala Reinfelds

Generates routine and complex ad hoc reports utilizing PeopleSoft query, SQL Server, Oracle, and ColdFusion Report builder. Performs periodic maintenance on the HRS internet and intranet web sites using various web tools. Participates in developing and implementing new systems and upgrades. Provides PeopleSoft technical/functional support for HRS users.
