Association of Teacher Educators Distinguished Program Award

The College of Education is very pleased to announce that our Baccalaureate Initial Certification programs for Grades EC-4 and 4-8 have been designated as First Finalist for the Distinguished Program in Teacher Education Award given by the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE). The presentation was made the evening of February 18th at the Awards Reception of the Annual Conference of ATE in Dallas.

This national recognition is a testament to the knowledge, skill, dedication, professionalism, and hard work of our outstanding faculty and staff as well as our excellent school partners. It also reflects the high level of commitment to and concern for the success of our students and the quality of our programs that they demonstrate every day.

UNT's nationally recognized and nationally ranked Counseling Program continues its ranking as first in Texas and in the top 20 nationally. The 2005 U.S. News and World Report rankings again place UNT's Counseling Program in this elite Top 20 status the program has held since the start of the ranking process.
