Emergency Preparedness Presentation

From the Office of Emergency Management

The Office of Emergency Management offers a 20-45 minute presentation on emergency preparedness for students and faculty/staff. This presentation can be customized towards a specific audience, such as residence halls, academic departments, administrative staff meetings, greek life, or other groups. Topics covered during the presentation can include:

• The importance of personal preparedness
• How to identify specific hazards
• How to create a "72 hour" preparedness kit
• Identify safe locations if asked to shelter in place
• Create an emergency contact list
• Disaster Relief volunteer opportunities
• What UNT is doing to be a disaster resilient university
