Eagle Alert

Warning and Alert Systems

 Eagle Alert

  • Allows UNT administrators to quickly contact the campus community members by phone about emergency situations affecting the safety and well being of people on and around the UNT campus. The system sends voice messages to the phones, including cell phones, of all active faculty, staff and students. The Eagle Alert notification system can also send text messages to cell phones if you grant the system permission to do so before hand.http://emergency.unt.edu/images/uploads/imagesEAGLELOGO.jpeg

Severe Weather Sirens

  • There are six sirens on the UNT Denton campus. Each siren covers an approximate 1 mile radius.
    • 621 Ector Street (McKenna Park)
    • South Bonnie Brae & Willowood (Mean Green Village)
    • 1307 Highland Drive (Kendall Hall)
    • Inner Campus Drive (Power Plant)
    • 1921 Chestnut (PE Building)
    • UNT Discovery Park

Emergency Telephones

  • There are emergency phones positioned throughout campus that have a touch button with direct line access to the UNT Police Department. These phones can be identified by the green pole, blue strobe light, and the word "EMERGENCY" stenciled on three sides. Once the talk button is activated the caller can speak directly with a police dispatcher.
    • Individuals with hearing impairments should dial (800) RELAY TX (TTY).
    • The location of the phones can be found on any UNT campus parking map.
