Public Schools
The New Braunfels Independent School District and Comal Independent School District are the primary districts serving the New Braunfels area.  The districts are divided by the Guadalupe River. 

Outer parts of New Braunfels are served by other school districts including the Navarro ISD, Marion ISD, and Seguin ISD.

Private Schools

Post Secondary Schools
The City of New Braunfels partnered with the City of Seguin and Comal County to provide the Central Texas Technology Center at the New Braunfels Municipal Airport.  It is operated by the Alamo Area Community College District and provides basic college course and training for many trades.

Texas State University is a four year college located approximately 20 miles north of New Braunfels in San Marcos.
