Trash
Collection

On
this page you will find all necessary information regarding your trash
service. Should you have
questions, please call the Waste Management Service Hotline at 979-239-1431
or 979-239-1378.
If you requested a new or
replacement polycart, one will be delivered to you in about 7-10 days.
During this period, you may place your bags of trash at the street
for pickup.
You will
receive polycart trash service twice a week at the street.
Please find your area of town below to determine your designated
trash days. Place only household trash in your polycarts.
All other items are considered debris and are not serviced in the
polycarts. Your polycart should
be placed at the street on your designated trash day by 7:00 am and must be
removed from the street by 7:00 pm the same day.
Your trash should be placed with the opening facing the street.
Do not place the polycart within five feet of your mailbox or any
other item that might block the truck from servicing.
If a vehicle is parked in the street in front of your residence,
under most circumstances, this will keep the garbage truck from servicing
your can.

Debris
service is provided for all residential customers.
If you have an alley, all debris must be placed at the alley.
If you do not have an alley, all debris should be placed at the
street. It must be bagged,
boxed or contained in some fashion and stacked neatly.
Cardboard boxes should be torn down flat.
Examples of debris consist of: cardboard boxes, lumber, metal,
clothes, any appliance that has been tagged by a professional as having the
Freon removed, soil, dirt, concrete, limbs and brush.
Once a week a truck will travel down your alley (or street in some
cases) and pick up small piles of trash.
Twice a month a larger truck will come by for large piles or heavy
items. No single piece of
debris should weigh over 50 lbs. Limbs
must be trimmed to be less than 4 feet and all stumps and limbs should be
cut up to weigh less than 50 lbs also.
Waste Management will not pickup items that are considered
environmentally hazardous such as tires, batteries, paint and appliances
that have not had Freon removed by a licensed technician.
Debris
service is not provided to commercial accounts.
