About the Health Facility Program
The Health Facility Program surveys health care facilities that participate in the federal certification program and/or are regulated under state licensing statutes. The Health Facility Program's overall goal is to monitor health care delivery by regulated health care facilities to assure high quality care to the people of Texas.
The Health Facility Program has five distinct areas or zones. Each office is staffed according to the number and type of health care facilities located within its boundaries. Generally, surveyors travel from these offices to providers in their zone, thereby saving travel costs and time. Surveys are also scheduled among providers in geographical clusters so that additional cost savings are realized.
