2009

In 2009, the First Court of Appeals will be closed on the following days to observe holidays pursuant to Tex. Gov't Code Ann. §§ 662.003, .004, .021, .022 (Vernon 2004):

Friday after Thanksgiving Day Friday November 27, 2009
the 24th day of December Thursday December 24, 2009
Christmas Day Friday December 25, 2009

In 2009, the "late–filing" box will not be available: (1) on days when the Court is closed for holidays as listed above; (2) on Harris County holidays when the Court is otherwise open (Friday, April 10, 2009); and (3) on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 and Thursday, December 31, 2009.  The Court cannot guarantee that the "late-filing" box will be otherwise available because the Harris County constables who provide access to the box may be called away on other business.



2010

In 2010, the First Court of Appeals will be closed on the following days to observe holidays pursuant to Tex. Gov't Code Ann. §§ 662.003, .004, .021, .022 (Vernon 2004):
