DARPA
maintains its flexible management philosophy and its entrepreneurial
edge by hiring expert program managers from industry at competitive
salaries, and does it much faster than under normal civil
service rules.
Salaries for Program Manager positions are commensurate with
experience.
As a DARPA Program Manager, you may be eligible to take advantage
of the many benefits offered to Federal employees. Our benefits
are comparable to, and often better than, those of many employers
in private industry. Our fringe benefits program offers:
- Wide selection of health
insurance plans at government rates;
- Low-cost basic life insurance coverage;
- Generous accrual of annual leave up to 5 weeks per
year, (based on type of Federal appointment);
- Standard accrual of 13 sick leave days;
- Holiday leave honoring 10 Federal holidays;
- Metro subsidy up to $100.00 per month for specified
commuters using public transportation;
- Relocation assistance/allowance (based on type
of Federal appointment);
- Immediate access to latest in technology
(computers, blackberries, etc) to help you achieve
your goals.
Assignments from institutions of higher education and other
eligible organizations are intended to facilitate cooperation
between the Federal Government and the not-for-profit,
non-Federal entity through the temporary detail of skilled
personnel. DARPA may hire qualified personnel from these
organizations for a limited period without loss of employee
rights and benefits. Assignments generally range from one
year to a maximum of four years.
