U.S. Geological Survey

Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center
EROS was established in 1971 to receive, process, and distribute data from NASA Landsat satellites, as well as aerial photographs gathered for the USGS and other agencies. National Aeronautics and Space Administration
NASA's mission is to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery, and aeronautics research. Since its inception in 1958, NASA has accomplished many great scientific and technological feats in air and space.

NASA Landsat
The Landsat Project is a series of Earth-observing satellite missions jointly managed by NASA and the USGS. Since 1972, Landsat satellites have collected information about Earth from space. This science, known as remote sensing, has matured with the Landsat Project.

NASA Landsat Data Continuity Mission
The Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) is the future of Landsat satellites. It will continue to obtain valuable data and imagery to be used in agriculture, education, business, science, and government.

Landsat Legacy
The NASA Landsat Project Science Office is teaming with the USGS and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Library to create an archive of essential Landsat documentation, including technical, policy, and science related documents with an emphasis on internal technical papers.

The Future of Land Imaging (FLI)
The Future of Operational Land Imaging Working Group is leading an effort to develop a long-term plan to achieve technical, financial, and managerial stability for operational land imaging in accord with the goals and objectives of the U.S. Integrated Earth Observation System.
