The Computer Operations Branch (COB) operates the central
satellite data processing center located in FB#4, third floor, wing 0,
The COB provides personnel to operate the Central Environmental Satellite Computer System (CEMSCS), which ingests, processes, and distributes satellite data on a 24-hour per day basis. COB personnel coordinate, monitor, and control all of the unique processing facility activities in real-time and near real-time modes. In addition, the COB provides systems-level programming and helpdesk support for all of the Product Systems.
