Recovery.gov ensures that all functionality and content is accessible to all Americans.

Images on Recovery.gov contain "alt tags," that aid users to listen to the content by using a screen reader rather than reading the site. A "skip to" link provides users with a method for bypassing the header and going directly to the main content each time a page is accessed. In addition, closed captioning is available on videos.

Users can get information regarding the accessibility of Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files from the http://www.adobe.com/accessibility/user_info.html.

How to Download a PDF ?Clicking on the PDF icon opens a dialog box in your browser that will ask you where you want to save the file. The speed of downloading will depend on your modem speed, internet traffic and your internet provider. Once you have saved the file, you can read and print documents using Adobe Acrobat software. If you do not have this software, a copy of Acrobat Reader or Exchange is required.

Adobe Reader software is available at no charge in various languages as well as operating systems including: Windows XP and Vista, Macintosh, and UNIX. Documentation for installation and operating requirements of Acrobat is included with the software.

Once the software is installed, view the PDF file by opening it in Acrobat Reader.
