- National Cemetery Administration obligated 13 new projects this week: 9 of these projects were parts/equipment purchases in the states of TX (6), MO, NM, and CO; 3 road repair projects in FL, NY and HI; 1 water system replacement in WI. Therefore, total obligations increased by $814,115 and total outlays increased by $69,000 during the week.
- Veterans Benefits Administration continues to hire claims processors. Total obligations increased by $822,855 and total outlays increased by $812,674 during the week. 1,222 claims processors have been hired to date.
- Veterans Health Administration awarded 15 new non-recurring maintenance (NRM) obligations totalling $6,380,672 in states of CA, IA, MA, MS, NY (2), OR (2), SC, SD, TN, and WV (4). In addition, a previous weeks obligation increased $162. Therefore, total obligations increased by $6,380,834 and total outlays increased by $850,084. Project highlights include facility renovations including renovations of dental lab, emergency room, interior floors, stairs, alzheimer unit, outpatient waiting areas, and handicap accessibility. In addition, projects include energy upgrades, repair of site lighting, repairs to a water line, security upgrades for surgery area, and replacement of domestic water booster pumps.
- Due to returned economic recovery payments, obligations and outlays for VA's Recovery entitlement awards dropped by $336,250 this week.
