Someone was using their cell phone in the museum. Gasp blaarghhh I am bothered. Goodness, I must stay calm. Oh, there goes my beeper. I am going to exit the museum and place a collect call from a pay phone like a courteous citizen. Goodday!

I had no idea that American art, especially twentieth century, art had so many obscure threads running through it. Likewise, I didn't realize that like many other painting traditions-- Velazquez's Mininas, for example-- the poor were shrouded in secrecy while the rich are seen strolling. American art used as propaganda, u know to show that poverty in America doesn't exist, when we all know it does. .
