Welcome to the Bureau of Right of Way!
As a result of transportation improvement projects it is at times necessary for the state to acquire private property to expand or improve the existing transportation system. The DOT Bureau of Right of Way is responsible for the acquisition of property rights required for transportation projects, the Uniformed Relocation Act of 1970 governs the process the Department follows.
