What Should I Know About Living Abroad?

A Fulbright grant is a unique opportunity for an enriching and rewarding immersion experience. Living abroad in a new environment presents both challenges and rewards. Good preparation can ease the transition, allowing Fulbrighters to focus on what they do best – studying, researching, teaching, and becoming a part of the host community. A variety of resources exist with information on safety and preparation for travel abroad. Fulbrighters should consult the relevant guides and travel advisories, as well as orientation materials that are provided.
