- OJJDP’s State Relations and Assistance Division 2009 National Conference, Austin, TX, October 26-29, 2009 (conference webpage under development)
- Training and Technical Assistance that includes best practice. The conference will address the four core requirements of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 2002.
- Days 1 and 2 (October 26-27, 2009) will focus on monitoring for compliance with Deinstitutionalization of Status Offenders, Sight & Sound Separation and Jail Removal.
- Days 3 and 4 (October 28-29, 2009) will focus on systems improvement strategies and activities to Disproportionate Minority Contact.
- Expected attendees: State Agency Staff including Juvenile Justice Specialists, JABG staff, Compliance Monitors, Title V Program Managers, Juvenile Justice Agency Directors, State Advisory Group members, DMC Stakeholders, and OJJDP staffs and lessons learned on the Equal Treatment of Juveniles in the Juvenile Justice System as well as their safety being ensured.
