Fire and Aviation
Grey Towers consists of approximately 100 acres. Consequently, the
need for a fire management program is minimal. Grey Towers is part
of the USDA Forest Service which manages over 190 million acres
of publicly owned land. The Fire and Aviation Management part of
the USDA Forest Service is a diverse group of people working to
advance technologies in fire management and suppression, maintain
and improve the extremely efficient mobilization and tracking systems
in place, and reach out in support of our Federal, State, and International
fire partners.
Fire Hire The Fire and Aviation section of the Forest Service is responsible for fire
management and suppression throughout the United States. Each year
a number of positions are available including fire fighters, dispatchers
and others.
