Aquatic Education |
|||
OklahomaPeople who enjoy fishing typically have a greater appreciation, awareness and understanding of aquatic ecosystems. That's why it's so important that today's youth become tomorrow's anglers. In order to attract new anglers, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation offers free fishing clinics, instructor training workshops and educational materials designed to help children develop angling skills while learning about fish and their habitats.
TexasThe more children learn about aquatic habitats, the greater their potential for becoming good stewards of the resource. This philosophy is at the core of Texas Parks and Wildlife's Aquatic Resource and Angler Education programs. Free fishing clinics, youth fishing programs, teacher training workshops and K-12 environmental education activites help bring the outdoors into the classroom and get kids hooked on fishing.
