A multi-event sports and rehabilitation program for Veterans who use wheelchairs for sports competition due to spinal cord injuries, amputations or certain neurological problems. Golf for Veterans with Disabilities Video
Veterans with disabilities, including those who are legally blind, gain the therapeutic benefits of renewed joy, new friends and physical activity by learning to play golf. Register for the annual National Veterans Tee Tournament, which is hosted annually by the Iowa City VA Medical Center.
National Amputation Foundation
Provides programs and services to help Veterans who lost a limb or limbs in service to their country. Programs include peer counseling, medical equipment donation and recreational activities.
National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic (NVSSC)
The NVSSC gives disabled Veterans an opportunity for self development and challenge through education and recreational activities. It promotes rehabilitation by teaching summer sporting activities to veterans with significant physical or psychological impairments.

Provides golf instruction to individuals with disabilities, with referrals to local instructors and facilities. Also, PGA has partnered with Disabled Sports USA and the DoD to sponsor a program for severely wounded Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Makes the Friday closest to September 11th a NATIONAL DAY OF GOLF saluting all those who have answered the call to duty.
Through a week-long clinic sponsored by the VA, Veterans, many wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan, have received an early introduction to the therapeutic value of recreational sports. Most of the participants are getting their first taste of sailing, surfing, kayaking, cycling and track and field events since being wounded or injured.
