Phone cards for Service Members and hospitalized Veterans who are separated from those they care about. Request a card. The Free Call Schedule lists dates when the free call service is available.

Iraq Afghanistan Deployment Impact Fund (IADIF)
A special initiative of the California Community Foundation that provides funds to nonprofit organizations that offer direct services and other forms of assistance to American military personnel and/or their families who have been impacted by deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan. IADIF grants are administered independently and grant proposals are by invitation only.
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America Action Fund
Encourages family members, friends and neighbors to support military families by offering the Share Your Ideas website where everyone can discuss their personal thoughts on the best ways to support Service Members as they return to their homes and communities.

Operation Support Our Troops (OSOT)
Helps improve the morale and welfare of members of the U.S. Armed Forces deployed in harm's way by sending care packages, letters and difficult to attain items. Also provides support to wounded soldiers from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany on their way to recovery at U.S. military installations. Includes information on Wheels for Warriors, which are modified vans for injured soldiers.

Provides financial support to families who have lost relatives in service to their country, grief camps for children and spouses and support for Fisher House and other rehabilitation programs.

U.S. Wounded Soldiers Foundation
Unites families facing physical separation by facilitating the bonding experience of reading aloud together. Its Military Program, a quality-of-life program for military families, helps keep parents and children connected while separated during long deployments, through the medium of reading aloud on videotape.
Provides opportunities to thank and support Active Duty military personnel, their families and Veterans by connecting individuals with partnered service organizations at the Freedom Festival, Freedom Run and other events.
