You don't want to miss the most important Medical & Pharmaceutical trade events. We identify the top shows, and then we work with the organizers to provide special added value - such as U.S. Pavilions - for U.S. companies that participate. Commercial Service staff attend the shows, and often provide matchmaking services for U.S. companies. U.S. shows that are part of the Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program will feature overseas delegations and an International Business Center staffed by Department of Commerce employees.

The three-day event featured a record-breaking 7,948 m 2 (85,552 sq ft) of displays and demonstrations of the latest products, equipment, and manufacturing support services from leading medical OEM suppliers throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Exhibitors presented the latest advances in medical-grade materials, assembly and electronic components, production machinery, design software, manufacturing controls, device communications, networking systems, compliance engineering, and a full range of contracted services. In addition, the exhibit floor included three special-focus pavilions: Packaging Technology, Automation Assembly, and Precision Tec, which featured equipment for CNC machining, EDM, laser marking, cutting and welding, and a wide range of contracted metalworking services and parts fabrication for medical device and other precision industries. The MEDTEC Conference presented sessions on product development, regulatory compliance, quality systems, packaging, materials and nanotechnology, collaborative outsourcing, software validation, and lean six-sigma control for optimized productivity and quality assurance. Citing the show's demonstrated ability to attract an influential audience of active buyers from the €55.2 billion European medical device manufacturing market, exhibitors have already reserved two-thirds of the space for next year's show.
