Painting: From the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City.  Entitled: Artistotle Comtemplating The Bust Of PlatoThe NSF/ENG Lecture Series Moves Modern Thought

The main objectives of the Series are to facilitate cross-fertilization of ideas and to integrate knowledge with education, innovation and practice as well as to highlight important engineering concepts, accomplishments and policy issues. The lecture is open to NSF staff and outside research communities. Distinguished speakers are carefully selected by a Committee with representatives from each Engineering Division and Office. This program was formally established in 1997. (More information).
