Web News!
A new piece of the Steamtown Web Site has opened! Click on Photos & Multimedia for our newest feature, a Virtual Tour. This Virtual Tour shows how a new tire is mounted on the main drive wheel of a steam locomotive. This operation was photographed in the Steamtown Locomotive Shop on March 14, 2007. A few lucky visitors saw the operation on a regularly scheduled Locomotive Shop Tour, but for the rest, the Virtual Tour will have to do.
Also, information about Steamtown's Curriculum Based Education Programs are posted under For Teachers. There is also information about Field Trips.
Check back often to see what's new on the Steamtown website, and most of all, have fun!
