FBI ACADEMY, CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT & EVALUATION UNIT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The mission of the FBI Academy, Curriculum Development & Evaluation Unit is to establish, maintain, and advance FBI curriculum planning, content development, and training evaluation. The Curriculum Planning & Evaluation Unit offers a full-time, twelve-week internship program. This is a VOLUNTEER Internship Program that brings students to work at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Program Overview

The Curriculum Development & Evaluation Unit offers students an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills to the development of course content for the FBI Academy. The type of work will vary in accordance with the needs of the Curriculum Planning & Evaluation Unit and the skills and experience of the student. In general, duties will involve research and analysis, course content design and development, storyboarding, and course evaluations. Interns may be able to attend portions of certain training courses held at the FBI Academy in order to enhance their understanding of the FBI Academy and to assist in their career development.

Preferred majors include Education or related areas of study. Other majors may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Candidates must have experience working with computers (e.g., proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with database and statistical packages (e.g., Access, SPSS, etc.) is also desirable.

Work hours are from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Interns may be able to attend portions of certain training courses held at the FBI Academy in order to enhance their understanding of the FBI Academy and to assist in their career development.

The completed Curriculum Development & Evaluation Unit Internship application package must be received on or before the deadlines noted above. No electronic applications are accepted. Please be aware that the FBI�s mail screening processes can delay the delivery to a specific office. It is strongly recommended that you use Federal Express or a similar express delivery service, particularly if you are sending the application within two weeks of the deadline.
