Enterprise Standards for BTA Systems/Initiatives

Enterprise Standards for BTA Systems/Initiatives

In FY 2008, the BTA established an Enterprise Standards focus area tasked to address the following agency and Defense Business Mission Area objectives:

Process

Define short, medium and long-term roadmaps which re-balance Component and Enterprise capability delivery (based upon “Rationalize the Enterprise” findings)

Data

Define common vocabularies and standard data requirements via enterprise governance
Architect and implement in the Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA)

Integration

Define standard integration requirements for Defense-Enterprise business capabilities
Architect and implement

Implementation

Begin to implement re-balancing of Component and Enterprise capability delivery

Deliver specific enterprise capabilities as services, based on priorities identified by the rationalization effort

The Enterprise Standards team consists of subject matter experts in Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, ERP System Integration, Defense Business System Program and System Management, and DoDAF Architecture Products. The team is focused on creating standard data sets that can be used consistently across the DoD and Federal Government. The goal of this site is to make the common data models available for consumption by the Defense business community of interest and specifically, interface partners.

All available standards and other supporting documentation are here – providing you a single source to obtain data and instruction for implementation.
