Current Resource Assessment
In 2006, MMS released a national
assessment of the undiscovered technically recoverable resources (UTRR)
underlying offshore waters on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). The
assessment is a comprehensive appraisal of relevant data and information
available as of January 1, 2003, including advances in petroleum
exploration and development technologies. The results of this
assessment are provided below.

assessments contain more extensive analysis of the Pacific Outer
