What do I need to get started?

To begin the process you will need to have or know the following information about the business entity you would like to register:

  6. The names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, FEINs and SSNs or TINs of owners, proprietors, partners, corporate officers and members

  7. A form of payment, either credit card or electronic check.

Most businesses will need to obtain a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) with the Internal Revenue Service in the event a corporation, limited liability company, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, OR sole proprietorA business owned completely by a single person. with employees is being created.
