Circulation

The Circulation Department checks out materials, maintains circulation records, provides search services for missing books, issues courtesy and interlibrary cards, retrieves items from the remote storage facility, collects fines, maintains the library lost and found, assigns graduate carrels, provides services to distributed education students, opens and closes the buildings, and monitors library security.

UNT students, faculty and staff can check out materials using their UNT I.D. card.  All other users must register with the General Circulation Desk, Willis Library, before checking out books.  All I.D. cards are non-transferable.  The following I.D. cards, if valid for the current semester, are honored at the UNT Libraries:

  • UNT I.D. cards
  • Texas Woman's University I.D. cards
  • Texas A&M University at Commerce I.D. cards
  • UNT Health Science Center I.D. cards
  • UNT Libraries Courtesy cards (a picture ID must also be shown)
  • TexShare cards (a picture ID must also be shown)
