2001 VEGETATION CONDITION
05/18 - 05/31/2001

NDVI data calculated from the AVHRR sensor on the NOAA-16 satellite are used to create vegetation condition imagery beginning with the 2001 crop season. The images selectable below include displays of the NDVI composite index for the entire United States in either GIF or PDF format. The PDF format has a higher resolution and allows browsing. Agricultural Statistics District (ASD) and state boundaries are shown. Images (in GIF format only) containing nine-period thumbnails are available to allow season review.
