About Volunteer.gov Volunteer.gov is the most comprehensive clearinghouse of volunteer opportunities ever created. Americans can enter geographic information about where they want to get involved, such as state or zip code, and areas of interest ranging from education to the environment, to access volunteer opportunities offered by a range of partner organizations across the country or around the world. Formerly the website for the USA Freedom Corps office at the White House (under President Bush), Volunteer.gov is managed by the Corporation for National and Community Service on behalf of the White House. Posting your Volunteer Opportunity with Volunteer.gov Having your volunteer opportunities posted with Volunteer.gov has several benefits:
In order to have your opportunities listed on Volunteer.gov, you will need to post them with at one of the Volunteer Network partner organizations listed on the homepage of Volunteer.gov. There is no cost to have your volunteer opportunities posted. Once you post, your volunteer opportunities will be part of the Volunteer Network automatically. Contact Information For technical problems or questions concerning the Volunteer.gov website, please contact the Webmaster of the Corporation for National and Community Service at webmaster@cns.gov.
