The Assistant Director, Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (WSFR), and staff will meet with the Texas General Land Office representatives on June 13 to discuss the transition of the Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) from BOEMRE to FWS-WSFR and actions to minimize impacts to grant recipients. 6/08/2011 - State Wildlife Grant Competitive Program
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that nearly $5 million in grants will go to six state fish and wildlife agencies to help conserve and recover Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) through the State Wildlife Grants Competitive Program. (News Release)

5/20/2011 - Boating Infrastructure Grant Program
The Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program announces the publication of the annual Request for Applications (RFA) for the Fiscal Year 2012 Boating Infrastructure Grants Program (BIG), Tier 1 and Tier 2 on Grants.gov. The RFA will be open for more than 120 days through September 21, 2011.

5/17/2011 - Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) - Transition
WSFRP has begun working with State and local recipients to begin reviewing State Plans, grants and amendments in preparation for the October 2011 transfer from BOEMRE to FWS.

4/21/2011 - Clean Vessel Act Grant Program
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Acting Director Rowan Gould announced that more than $11.7 million will be awarded to 25 states under the Clean Vessel Act (CVA) grant program in 2011. (News Release)

3/23/2011 - Multistate Conservation Grant Program
FWS announces the 12th National Survey of Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife-Associated Recreation will begin April 1st. (News Release)

3/14/2011 - Boating Infrastructure Grant Program
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced that more than $13.5 million will be awarded to 11 States for 16 Tier 2 Boating Infrastructure Grant projects and approximately $2.7 million to 27 States, commonwealths, and territories in Tier 1 Boating Infrastructure Grant projects. (News Release)

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced today more than $749 million will be distributed to state and territorial fish and wildlife agencies through the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program. (News Release).
