This is a big tax increase to pay for a middle-class entitlement. Never mind that middle-class entitlements are already bankrupting the government.
Were Barack Obama to nominate someone who was once caught cheating in school to run the Department of Education, maybe -- just maybe -- the mainstream media would question his judgment.
It is public budget time in New Hampshire, and the grand question is whether to raise taxes or cut spending.
