UNTHSC First-Time-Taker Pass Rates
The above chart represents the percentages of UNTHSC Physician Assistant graduates who have taken and passed the national PA certifying exam on their first attempt after graduation. This examination is administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and the PA must have graduated from an accredited PA program to be eligible to take the exam. In 2003, UNTHSC transitioned from awarding a bachelor's degree to awarding a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree to graduating PA students. Due to that curriculum change, we did not have a graduating PA class in 2002.
