1. Can I print from microforms?
Yes, there are reader/printers for microfilm and microfiche in Room 025 that print for 10 cents per page. A TracCard or money on your student i.d. must be used for payment.
For the microprint, microcard and micro-opaque forms, there is an imaging unit that scans the data. This machine is connected to a public terminal so the information can be saved to a flash drive, emailed, etc. Printing is also available for 10 cents a page. Print jobs are sent to the public printer on the First Floor and must be paid for with a TracCard.
2. Can I check out microforms?
No, the microforms are non-circulating and can only be used in the Microforms Department.
3. If I can't find a microform item in the online catalog, does that mean you don't have it?
No, new items are being added to the online catalog all the time, but all 2,000,000+ aren't in the catalog yet. Two finding aids are available that offer more complete coverage.
