The best way to learn about us is to visit. Check the Denton weather forecast and dress accordingly for Preview Day, Interview Day, or Spend-A-Day since campus tours are involved.

Preview Day

On Preview Days, prospects and their families can inspect the academy, student life issues, and the admissions process. Friendly Ambassadors will be on hand to entertain guests at lunch and on guided tours of the campus and residence hall. For Preview Day reservations, please call our toll-free number, 1-800-241-8267.

Preview Days are for parents, educators, and students in grades 7 - 10 and originate in the UNT Union on the following dates:

• Friday, September 12, 2008        (9:30 - 2:00)
• Saturday, October 4, 2008        (9:00 - 1:00)
• Saturday. November 15, 2008   (9:00 - 1:00)
• Saturday, March 7, 2009      (9:00 - 1:00)

An unsolicited letter:

"As parents, we have had mixed emotions about turning a 16 year-old girl 'loose' on a college campus three hundred miles from home. We came away from Preview Day more convinced than ever that the TAMS experience would be a rich, rewarding, positive one for our daughter and for the rest of our family."

Spend A Day

In addition to Preview Days, the Academy Ambassadors encourage prospective students to shadow TAMSters through a full day of classes, meals, and recreation. To participate, contact the Admissions Office (1-800-241-TAMS) for referral to a student Ambassador. Note that Spend-A-Days are on the day preceding each Preview and Interview Day, but alternative dates also can be arranged.

Interview Day

Interviews are by invitation only. At least one parent or legal guardian is asked to accompany each applicant for moral support and to gather details about financial aid, the curriculum, and residence hall life. Meanwhile, prospective students will interview and take two multiple-choice examinations covering Algebra I and II. Calculators will not be allowed. Sample tests with answers will have been mailed to interviewees in advance.

Interview Days

• Thursday, January 29, 2009
• Friday, January 30, 2009
• Thursday, March 26, 2009
• Friday, March 27, 2009

Another unsolicited letter:

"TAMS was a wonderful experience for our daughter. Frankly, I don't know what we would have done without it. Early admission to UT Austin would not have been an equal alternative. Emily is very successful and happy at Stanford University."
