The Ticket to Work Program and EN Capitalization Resources
In response to the needs of Employment Networks (ENs) for upfront capital to implement employment and support services for beneficiaries under the Ticket to Work Program, MAXIMUS is managing EN Capitalization Education for the Social Security Administration. The Ticket to Work Program – EN Capitalization Education Program is designed to expand EN training to include delivery of information and education on alternative sources of funding. The purpose of this program is to enable more organizations to participate in the Ticket to Work Program as Employment Networks by increasing access to funding sources that can support upfront costs of providing employment and support services.
The EN Capitalization Education Program includes the EN Capitalization Resource Directory, available below. The Directory provides guidance on how to access funding from the government, foundations and private financial institutions and how to leverage existing sources of funding. For your convenience, the Directory is available in its entirety or by individual chapters and includes and resources for service providers serving individuals with intellectual, developmental, and psychiatric disabilities as well as providers within specific sectors such as education and workforce development.
The Education and Communications Department hosts teleconference calls to provide an open forum for educating ENs on how to utilize available funding resources and for sharing EN fund-raising best practices and experiences. The teleconference training modules can be downloaded and incorporated into your internal training program.
In 2007, the EN Capitalization Education Program unveiled the FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES PAGE . This is a new resource made available to Employment Networks of disability-related grant opportunities that could enhance the implementation of the Ticket to Work program. As we are made aware of new opportunities, we will post the link to the FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES PAGE . The listing is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all of the disability-related grants and inclusion on this list does not guarantee funding. For consultation on grant research for your organization's particular needs, please contact Michelle L. Thompson at 703-236-6607 or michellethompson@maximus.com.
Please visit this site regularly for updated training materials, resources, and scheduled teleconferences. To view links to other funding educational resources, please access the EN CAPITALIZATION RESOURCE PAGE .
