The Commission will hold its September meeting
on the
island of Maui to hear recommendations
on eight east Maui instream flow standard petitions:
Honopou; Hanehoi and Puolua (Huelo); Piinaau; Palauhulu; Waiokamilo; Kualani; Waikani; and East and West Wailuanui. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at the Haiku Community Center, 1008 Hana Highway, in Haiku, Maui.

On March 13, the Commission designated Na Wai Eha as the first surface water management area. Surface water use in these management areas is now regulated by the Commission by means of water use permits. |
