PARK SPECIES LISTS

These species checklists are likely to change over time. The classification of species is often controversial, with different biologists taking somewhat different views of what constitutes a species. The lists will also change as additional species, especially in the plant and insect categories, are "discovered" in the park.

Current estimates of the number of species in each category are as follows: 849 vascular plants, 231 non-vascular plants, 67 mammals, 262 birds, 7 fish, 5 amphibians and 1 reptile.
