Walhonde Tools, Inc., manufactures assembly and alignment tools utilized by power generation plants, cogenerator plants, pulp and paper plants, the shipbuilding industry, and the oil & gas industry. On August 17, 2004, Walhonde Tools, Inc. was presented an Export Achievement Certificate by Ms. Jacquie Hayes-Byrd, Executive Director of the Global Diversity Initiative for their recent success in international markets.

Walhonde Tools, Inc. completed a new-to-market sale to South Korea in the amount of $3,200. Walhonde’s efforts in South Korea were strongly supported by the Charleston EAC’s value-added counseling services, export trade statistics, export.gov market research reports, and participation in a no-fee catalog show sponsored by the Korean Foreign Trade Association (KFTA) with the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service in Seoul. President of Walhonde Tools, Mrs. McClure states, “Walhonde Tools has effectively used U.S. Commercial Service programs and services since our inception in 1984 and have found the U.S. Commercial Service to be most helpful in our development of international markets.”
