Radiological Emergency Preparedness
Program (REPP)
The Radiological
Emergency Preparedness Program (REPP) is responsible for the inventory,
maintenance, and repair of over 30,000 radiological detection instruments
located throughout Texas.
REPP also:
- provides radiological monitoring
training to local emergency response personnel in the 254 counties
of Texas
- assists in the development of
radiolgical response plans and procedures for local emergency
response organizations
- provides emergency response support
for radiological emergencies
The REPP training
project:
- coordinates training efforts
for emergency responders and personnel of local jurisdictions
- writes some portions of emergency
response plans
- arranges for staff in the Maintenance
and Calibration Project to conduct training classes or assist
local instructors
