Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program (REPP)

The Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program (REPP) is responsible for the inventory, maintenance, and repair of over 30,000 radiological detection instruments located throughout Texas.

REPP also:

provides radiological monitoring training to local emergency response personnel in the 254 counties of Texas
assists in the development of radiolgical response plans and procedures for local emergency response organizations
provides emergency response support for radiological emergencies

The REPP training project:

coordinates training efforts for emergency responders and personnel of local jurisdictions
writes some portions of emergency response plans
arranges for staff in the Maintenance and Calibration Project to conduct training classes or assist local instructors
