The Local Projects Grant Program Request for Proposal (RFP) is currently posted on Texas Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD). The following link will take you to the RFP. Eligible applicants include licensed EMS providers, registered first responder organizations, Regional EMS/Trauma Advisory Councils (RACs), EMS education organizations, and pre-hospital injury prevention organizations.

Here are some RFP highlights.

· Over the last year the Office of EMS and Trauma Systems Coordination (OEMS/TS) has worked closely with the DSHS client services contracting unit to simplify the application process. In hopes to streamline the process, the RFP contains forms that are similar to the ones used in the Fiscal Year 2003 RFP.

· The majority of the pages in the FY07 RFP are “for your information” only and do not require any action by the applicant. Please do not be discouraged by the length of the application.

· The application must be received on or before the following date and time: 2:00 P.M. C.S.T on 8/16/2006. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE APPLICATION DEADLINE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

· The original signed application and four (4) copies must be submitted on or before the deadline.
