DALLAS – The Middle Tennessee men’s and women’s golf programs combined to boast two selections to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division I At-Large teams, as selected by CoSIDA.

Hanley Long were announced to the organization’s first team on Friday.

Both senior golfers finished their final seasons with perfect 4.0 GPAs in their respective studies. Beckner, a repeat All-America nod from 2018, held a focus in biology and pre-dentistry, now with plans to enroll in Tennessee’s dental program in the fall. Beckner was part of the 2018 and 2019 C-USA Championship squads and was a three-time C-USA Academic Medal winner.
Long on the women’s side maintained straight A’s in her organizational communications route. The national recognition comes after a stellar senior campaign. The 2019 C-USA Golfer of the Year led the Blue Raiders in rounds of par or better (12), stroke average (72.7), lowest 54-hole total (206) and lowest round (66). The Tennessee product also owns four C-USA Academic Medals and three WGCA All-American Scholar awards. In April, Long was awarded the female President's Award at the Raiders' Choice Awards.
