The University of North Texas, Office of the Research and Economic Development is seeking a Director of Research Development who will assist in creating and implementing strategies for expanding externally funded research at UNT. This position will also provide support in building teams for collaborative efforts, as well as in expanding research collaboration, within and outside of UNT. The Director of Research Development will assist in the operations of the Office of Research Development and will represent the department in various activities within the UNT community and beyond. The Director of Research Development reports to the Senior Director of Research Development.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field and eight years of closely related professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's or Doctoral degree desired. The ideal candidate will have high ethical standards and a commitment to excellence.
The University of North Texas (UNT) is a comprehensive research university located 35 miles north of Dallas and Fort Worth. UNT has embarked on a major multi-year university initiative to hire new faculty and make significant infrastructure changes to build cross-disciplinary research clusters in strategically selected areas. The Director of Research Development position will support and facilitate this research expansion.
