This bulletin is divided into the following five sections.
1. General Information — history of the university, accreditation, the academic calendar, admission and academic requirements, University Core Curriculum requirements, enrollment policies, financial information, student life, policies, contacts at UNT. The Academic Program Options charts provide information about the degrees, minors, certifications, etc., offered.
2. Colleges and Schools — The University of North Texas is organized into the following colleges and schools. Some are organized in departments, institutes and centers; others operate as a single unit.

3. Courses of Instruction — A listing of courses is given with description, laboratory-lecture requirements, and credit hour value for all courses offered. Courses numbered 1000-4999 are undergraduate courses and are listed in the Undergraduate Catalog. Courses numbered 5000-6999 are graduate courses and are listed in the Graduate Catalog. The “Course and Subject Guide” found in the Courses of Instruction section of this book, serves as a table of contents for courses and provides quick access to subject areas and prefixes.
4. Faculty; and Librarians and Awards — listings for faculty, emeritus faculty, librarians and emeritus librarians.
5. Campus Map and Legends — information about building locations and offices/areas located within the buildings.
