International Opportunities Overview

The Division of Music Education believes that international experiences enrich the professional preparation of our students. To support this mission, the Division of Music Education offers an international course that focuses on the teaching approach of either Zoltán Kodály or Carl Orff, two musician-educators who have had a significant impact on public school music programs around the world.

Students enroll in a 16-week course that includes an 8-day immersion experience in either Austria or Hungary. The trip includes workshops, school observations, city tours, and many musical events. Click on the links to see more about these unique learning opportunities!

“This class was the best experience of my life and has opened my eyes and raised some serious questions about what kind of teacher I want to be.”
