Every student should have access to textbooks and other course materials so they have the opportunity to make the most out of their college experience. UNT has several initiatives attempting to reduce the obstacles to success.  UNT is exploring a wide range of initiatives that address textbook access, effectiveness of digital materials, and reduced price models---all aimed at supporting student coursework and promoting success in their academic pursuits. These initiatives are based on national and state initiatives which aim to provide options for students to have first-day accesss to quality course materials and which support faculty options for assigning reduced-cost or free textbooks and other course materials.  Increasing textbook access to all students on the first day of class will have an impact on student success in UNT courses.
